Vancouver Island with Kids Itinerary

We've taken our kids to Vancouver Island on two occasions. Our first trip was to Tofino with a detour through Victoria, and our second trip was soley Victoria. I've included both itineraries below. Itinerary #1 Tofino in August Where we stayed: Wickanninish Inn Would I stay there again? Yes, but I wouldn't eat here. There are much better options in town. Favourite Restaurants in Tofino: For being such a small town Tofino has some stellar food options. Check out "Shelter", "Sobo", the bakery and the chocolate shop. When we went there was an amazing smoothie/salad shop that has since closed down. Favourite things, in order: The beach trail at Wickanninish Inn, small but well managed. Chesterman Beach and the grounds of the Wickanninish Inn. Ucluelet Aquarium Shelter Restaurant Cathedral Grove What we would do differently next time: Skip whale watching! Puke inducing and dangerous (5 tourists died in the same area the following

Maui with Kids Itinerary

Where we stayed: Hyatt Regency Maui Would I stay here again? Yes, but mainly for the swimming pools. The pools are open 24 hours and stargazing from the adult hot tub was one of the coolest things I've ever experienced (you could clearly see the Milky Way and five planets, not to mention thousands of stars). The view of the sunset from the pool at the timeshare condo's next door was absolute perfection. Best in Maui I'm sure. Doing the stargazing telescope tour with a NASA astronomer from the top of the hotel was amazing! We got to see Saturn! The beds were not comfortable, our room was dated. If we stay here again I would get a club room so you get access to the lounge and some "free" food. (Which we didn't know about till after) Other contenders for future Maui stays are the Aston Mahana resort or the Honua Kai Resort. We found that with kids, a resort with cool waterslides is a must. I would 100% stay in the Ka'anapali area again. The weather is

London England with Kids Itinerary

Why England? I've been obsessed with England since I was a little girl. When we found $1 plane tickets (plus tax) after Brexit happened, we spontaneously bought four tickets! How did we plan it? I spent about 60 hours doing research online and in guidebooks. Before I started I had no idea what we wanted to see besides the obvious. To make the most of our 13 day trip we decided to combine London with a road trip through the west coast of England from Dorset to Liverpool, experiencing the Cotswolds and Oxford on the way. My favourite guide book was Rick Steves England book, as well as the DK Family Travel series "London with Kids". I planned out everything in a lot of detail including all transportation and where we would eat each day. This was worth doing! We changed almost nothing on our itinerary and the entire trip went incredibly smoothly. Our itinerary in a nutshell: Day 1: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Thames River Cruise. Day 2: Tower of London, St. Pauls, G
